Sarah Schoback
Owner
Sarah is a mom of two that began her ninja journey in 2015 when she started training for American Ninja Warrior.. After training for a year and testing obstacles for American Ninja Warrior she made the decision to open Obstacle Academy in 2016. She competed on American Ninja Warrior Seasons 9, 10 & 11 and at the OCR World Championships in 2016 & 2017.
Sarah comes from an artistic background earning her Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with a minor in business. Her special artistic touches can be seen not only on the gym's walls but also in the way OA is run. She has proved athletes can come from all types of backgrounds and this is reflected in the athletes enrolled at OA. Sarah is passionate about creating a quality training experience with a positive team atmosphere, constantly looking at her kids for inspiration.

Hunter Guerard
Co-Owner
Program Director
Hunter Guerard aka the Lizard started his Ninja career on season 9 of ANW competing alongside Sarah Schoback. He then went on to compete in seasons 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 advancing all the way to stage 2 in Vegas. With years of ninja experience he built our Youth Team Program and our community gym culture from the ground up with co-owner Sarah Schoback.
Hunter comes from a military family and has an athletic background in wrestling. From there he began competing in Ninja, from local comps to ANW. His extensive background has put him in a mentor position for many of the athletes and staff at the gym. His comical attitude and playful demeanor makes him a unique and compelling role model. Hunter is also a videographer, which has become a big part of livestreaming our in-house competitions. He is known for his creativity from funny cartoons and animations in our social media videos, to the various obstacles he has built.

Travis Scotting
Manager
Travis aka T-Money became our full time Gym Manager in 2023 after graduating college with a Psychology degree. Travis has been part of the OA staff since 2019 and has made a huge impact on the OA Community. He has been a Ninja Coach since 2018 while also competing and training in ninja. Travis has an athletic background in track and field and draws his coaching style from his experiences there. Travis’ coaching style is very analytical and precise. He communicates thoroughly to athletes to give them the best possible training experience. Travis enjoys coding and 3D printing and has used these skills to help create the MNS. Outside of work he likes to run, and pursue creative hobbies such as photography and 3D Design.

Alice Walters
Camp Director and
Head of Recreational Programming
Alice joined the OA Staff in 2022 after graduating college with an Elementary Education degree. Alice had never trained in Ninja before joining our staff but has a background in tumbling and dance. She has a lot of experience teaching kids from student teaching in college to her various camp counselor jobs over the summers. Her coaching style stems from her camp counselor experiences, she likes to be firm but fair and keeps things lighthearted and fun. In her free time she enjoys doing arts & crafts, reading books and thrifting.​​​

Ethan Robbins
Head of Recruitment and
Obstacle Course Design Specialist
Ethan aka Skinnie started at OA when he was 14 years old as an athlete in our team program before transitioning onto our staff. Ethan officially started working for OA in 2019. Ethan has a lot of experience coaching athletes of all ages and ability levels as well as experience competing himself. Ethan is known for being goofy and loud - bringing this energy into his coaching style. You will frequently look over and see him dancing, singing and making jokes with his athletes as he not only wants athletes to have great training he wants them to enjoy training. Outside of OA he enjoys playing video games, competing in Smashbros tournaments and hanging out with his wife Sam, their 4 cats, puppy, and tortoise.
